The Role

As a Graduate FinTech Analyst, you will support product development, regulatory technology integration, and data analysis projects across multiple digital finance initiatives. You will collaborate with engineers, product owners, and financial specialists to analyse business processes, assess risk, and develop practical solutions that enhance automation, compliance, and user experience. This position offers a front-row seat to the evolution of digital finance, from open banking and real-time payments to digital asset compliance and blockchain infrastructure.

Graduate Training & Onboarding Programme (First 6 Weeks)

The firm offers a fully sponsored and paid six-week onboarding programme designed to immerse graduates in the fundamentals of financial technology and regulated digital operations. You will receive a full salary during this period while participating in structured, hands-on training sessions.

Over the six weeks, you will:
• Gain exposure to live projects in digital banking, payments, and regtech innovation
• Participate in interactive workshops covering financial APIs, open banking standards, and data privacy in finance
• Learn the fundamentals of agile delivery, sprint documentation, and client reporting
• Receive one-to-one mentoring from senior FinTech professionals and technology consultants
• Shadow project managers and product owners to understand how financial technology is developed and deployed in real-world environments
By the end of your onboarding period, you will be equipped with a working understanding of the firm’s digital systems and ready to contribute directly to active client projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and delivery of digital transformation projects across payments, open banking, and digital compliance
  • Analyse process flows to identify automation opportunities within financial operations and client services
  • Evaluate emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, cloud finance platforms) and their application in regulated environments
  • Assist with system documentation, financial performance reporting, and data mapping for technology implementations
  • Conduct market research on FinTech innovation trends and competitor analysis
  • Prepare internal reports, investor materials, and regulatory documentation in collaboration with consultants and engineers
  • Work alongside compliance specialists to ensure all digital solutions meet FCA, GDPR, and AML requirements
  • Participate in client workshops and product demonstrations, contributing insights from both a financial and technological perspective

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a genuine interest in financial innovation
  • Strong communication abilities with confidence in presenting ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills with an interest in data analytics and reporting
  • Understanding of financial products, digital banking systems, or regulatory frameworks (FCA, AML, PSD2)
  • Must be working towards an accredited derivatives qualification with a sound understanding of FX conduct, trading principles, and securities regulation within the UK financial framework
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment and manage multiple projects effectively

Desirable Attributes:

  • Awareness of technologies such as APIs, blockchain, cloud platforms, or machine learning in finance
  • Familiarity with collaboration and project tools (Notion, Jira, or Trello)
  • Exposure to digital payments, regtech, or open banking projects during university or internships
  • Passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, or digital transformation within financial services
