Their mission is to turn complex financial and operational data into meaningful business intelligence. By combining cutting-edge analytics tools with financial expertise, the firm empowers organisations to improve performance, manage risk, and identify growth opportunities.

This role is an excellent opportunity for data science graduates eager to apply technical skills within the financial and commercial domain, gaining exposure to both quantitative modelling and real-world business decision-making.

The Role

As a Graduate Data & Insights Associate, you’ll work as part of a cross-functional analytics team, supporting the development of dashboards, financial models, and predictive algorithms. You will transform raw financial data into actionable insights, helping senior stakeholders make data-led decisions.

You’ll also play a key role in identifying process automation opportunities, optimising existing reporting pipelines, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and data integrity standards.

This role offers the perfect balance between technical depth and business impact, giving you a clear path toward Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Financial Data Engineer positions.

  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visual reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
  • Develop predictive and statistical models using Python or R (e.g., regression, classification, time-series forecasting)
  • Automate data workflows and reporting processes through SQL, Python scripts, or ETL tools
  • Collaborate with finance and risk teams to deliver insights that improve forecasting accuracy and portfolio performance
  • Work with internal stakeholders to define data requirements, KPIs, and reporting standards
  • Present analysis findings and recommendations to non-technical teams and clients
  • Ensure adherence to GDPR, FCA, and internal data governance policies

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn preferred)
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data
  • Good understanding of data visualisation principles and experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker)
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret financial and business metrics
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance within regulated industries
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, able to translate technical results into practical recommendations

Desirable Attributes:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Exposure to version control (Git), data APIs, or workflow orchestration (Airflow, dbt)
  • Experience or coursework in machine learning or statistical inference
  • Knowledge of financial data modelling, risk analytics, or ESG data trends

Career Progression & Development

  • Comprehensive training programme covering analytics, financial modelling, and BI system design
  • Opportunity to contribute to client-facing projects from the first six months
  • Clear promotion pathway to Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or BI Engineer roles
  • Mentorship from senior data professionals and exposure to financial sector clients
  • Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 remote after initial onboarding)
  • 25 days annual leave, performance-based bonus, and pension contribution
